ELV Engineer (Buildings - Construction Supervision)

Stantec is currently looking for an ELV Engineer to join our dynamic site team and support on a construction supervision of a buildings project in Abu Dhabi.

Some of the key job responsibilities of this role entail the following:

1. Monitoring the Electrical works related to ELV and IT systems, for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and the procedures manual.
2. Reviewing, approving and processing all ELV and IT technical submittals.
3. Prepare preliminary answers RFIs related to ELV and IT works.
4. Coordinating and supervising the pre-installation work of selected ELV and IT activities and operations.
5. Reviewing contractors ELV and IT change order proposals and preparing recommendations to the Senior Electrical Engineer.
6. Liaison with the necessary sub consultants.
7. Assist with the review off contractors claims related to ELV and IT works and preparing recommendations for claims.
8. Assist with the review off contractors project record documents relevant to their discipline.
9. Assist with the inspection of completed works and monitoring the start-up, testing, commissioning and handover of the ELV and IT works.
10. Prepare sign-off package for completed Electrical works with completed documentation for sign-off by Senior Electrical Engineer.

Qualifications : 

1. Minimum Ten (10) years' experience as ELV Engineer with (3 -5) years in Construction Administration in the UAE/Middle East.
2. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or ELV/IT
3. Strong technical background on ELV and IT systems.
4. Good oral and written communication skills.
5. Good knowledge of ELV and IT systems, products and materials.
6. Good oral and written communication skills.
7. Knowledge/experience in AUTO CAD.
8. Good command of Microsoft Office business solution (Excel, Word).
9. Ability to review and comment properly on necessary documentation.
10. Excellent understanding of specifications
11. Good understanding of Authority requirements.
12. Complete project understanding in given discipline, from start to hand-over
