Stantec is looking to recruit HSE Inspector to join our team in Abu Dhabi.

The role involves working on projects associated with Stormwater & Drainage, Flood Alleviation, Wastewater Networks and Water distribution networks Pumping Station, Recycling Plant. This will involve undertaking investigations, planning, designing, tendering, contract administration and construction supervising & monitoring.

Key accountabilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for site Safety health and environment management.
  • Assist with the preparation of a construction health and safety plan.
  • Confirm necessary documentation was submitted to the relevant authorities.
  • Attend project planning meetings. Attend regular site, technical and progress meetings. Facilitate site health and safety meetings.
  • Establish and maintain health and safety communication structures and systems, distribution of health and safety specific documents to sub-contractors.
  • Compiling project specific emergency response and preparedness plans
  • Testing the effectiveness of the emergency response plans
  • Conduct site safety inductions.
  • Oversee the reporting and investigation of project related incidents.
  • Development of technical reports in relation to health and safety issues and communicate through presentations to diverse groups of decision makers.
  • Client Service Management
  • Internal and external client liaison
  • Ability to build and maintain safety environment at site.
  • Experience in infra project HSE supervision Management.
  • Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
  • Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.
  • Maintain the health and safety environment at workplace.
  • Other duties as requested from time to time by the Resident Engineer

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of work experience in safety role.
  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering or related subject,
    from a recognized University.
  • Certification in NEBOSH General/ Construction Certificate or equivalent
  • Experience in SWS water network Infra project is an advantage.
