Job Responsibilities:
- Acting as Designated Person (DP) to ensure the effective implementation of a safety management system.
- Communication and implementation of the safety environmental protection policy.

Developing SOPs to maintain the best business practice.
Evaluating and reviewing the effectiveness of safety management system (SMS). - Reporting and analysis of non-conformities, incident, and hazardous occurrences.
- Participating in monitoring the effectiveness of Marine Units audits & inspection.
- Appropriate revision of the SMS, SSP & Waste Management to ensure that adequate resources and shorebased support are provided.
- Ensuring that all fleet crew members are compliant with STCW (Standard of Training, Certification and Watch keeping for Seafarers) convention, and carrying out the required verification of the crew certificates.
- Fulfilling all requirements to maintain ISM and ISPS certification.
- Ensuring that fleet classification and flag administration certificates are kept valid.
- Ensuring that the requirements for seafarers to work on a ship including age, medical and training certificates are implemented and achieved.
- Verifying and observing that employee conditions including wages, working hours, rest, and leave are in accordance with MLC requirement.
- Ensuring that seafarers accommodation, leisure facilities, and on-board catering standards meet the MLC requirement and standards.
- Verifying and monitoring all safety pollution prevention activities in the operation of each Marine Unit.
- Ensuring closeout of all non-conformities addressed through audits, periodic reviews, security & safety inspections, and verification of compliance.
- Promoting awareness of HSEQ policies and procedures to confirm compliance with the requirements of the ISM Code, ISO Standards, and other Legislations.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Qualifications: Bachelor/ Master Marine degree or Mechanical Engineering.
- Lead Auditor: ISO 45001, EMS 14001(Mandatory)
- Designated Person (DPA).(Preferred)
- ISO 19011: ISM ISPS MLC- Maritime Lead Auditor.(Mandatory)
- Certificate of Marine Risk Management. (Preferred)
- Marine Accident/ Incident Investigation. (Preferred)
- NEBOSH IGC (International General Certificate).
- Very good knowledge of English language and 8 years of experience in Dredging and Reclamation industries.
