Stantec is looking for construction administration and management professionals to act as owner representatives on multiple sites across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to supervise the construction of buildings and facilities related to government and defense projects. The candidate's responsibilities include project management, contract administration, engineering inspections, quality assurance, reporting on progress, and health and safety inspection. Bilingual Arabic/English ability is a must. Experience with government and defense facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • The Planner will review contractors schedules and confirm to the Government that they are technically correct and meet the contract requirements. This review will be accomplished primarily using RMS and the applicable contract.
  • Prepare overall project construction and performance schedules in the form of Critical Path
    Method-Network Analysis System (CPM-NAS) utilizing software acceptable to the Contracting
    Officer, incorporating all requirements of the construction or service requirements.
  • Review and comment upon CPM-NAS schedules prepared by others and report findings to the
    Government.
  • Monitor and report in writing on the progress of construction or service contractors using their
    CPM-NAS schedules. Recommend to the Government any necessary revisions to these CPMNAS
    schedules, particularly in those instances where the contractors involved are deviating from
    the approved schedules or as otherwise appropriate
  • They are to advise the Government of any discrepancies or issues that are found during this
    review. Upon receipt of approval from the government, they are also to work with the local
    construction firms to enhance their scheduling capabilities.
  • Data Input: RMS (Post-Construction Contract Award Database): Ensure each construction
    project/contract is input into RMS thoroughly and accurately.
  • Planner will be required to input data into the Pre-Award Scheduling System (PASS) in order to
    create projects in this system at inception.
  • Planner will be required to input data into P2 in order to create projects in the system at
    inception. Required information is to be provided by PMs.
  • Perform regulatory compliance reviews (safety, environmental).
  • Provide translation services, oral and written for CLIENT staff, as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • University degree 
  • Minimum of 5 years overall experience
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in Engineering
  • Two years experience related to the above description of duties
  • Level 3 English language ability. Ability to speak and read Arabic.
  • Ability to use a variety of office equipment (i.e. computers running MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), copiers, scanners, digital cameras, digital imaging software).
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
