Stantec is looking for construction administration and management professionals to act as owner representatives on multiple sites across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to supervise the construction of buildings and facilities related to government and defense projects. The candidate's responsibilities include project management, contract administration, engineering inspections, quality assurance, reporting on progress, and health and safety inspection. Bilingual Arabic/English ability is a must. Experience with government and defense facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Works under the direction of the resident or area engineer. Work is assigned in general terms of overall objectives and results desired.
  • During the design phase of a project, assist CLIENT personnel in performing a constructability review of project designs & specifications to determine site compatibility & anticipated problems.
  • During construction phases, assists CLIENT personnel to ensure Contractor compliance w/Task Order schedules, plans, specifications, etc. Identifies actual or potential problems & recommends changes as necessary.
  • Assists CLIENT personnel by serving as a project point of contact to obtain construction and as-built drawings & other documents.
  • Reviews Contractor receipt of materials & equipment procured by Contractors purchase orders.
  • Prepares various reports & correspondence pertaining to daily activities, progress payments, contact modifications materials, delays in construction, etc. to provide to CLIENT personnel
  • Assists CLIENT personnel in training and mentoring initiatives by providing subject matter expertise and conveying cultural meaning and intent; e.g., coordinates, plans, develops, and
    evaluates training, training needs, and course objectives.
  • Provides translation services, oral and written for CLIENT staff, as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • University degree and one year of experience related to the profession of civil and/or structural engineering.
  • Minimum of 7 years overall experience
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in Engineering
  • Level 2 English language ability (fluent) and ability to speak and read Arabic.
  • Ability to use a variety of office equipment (i.e. computers running MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), copiers, scanners, digital cameras).
  • Possess knowledge of management concepts, principles, methods, and practice.
  • Capability to control and manage assigned projects' budget and schedule
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
