About the job Director of photography intern
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Production:
- Assist in planning and organizing video shoots, including location scouting and equipment preparation.
- Collaborate with the DP and creative team to develop shot lists and visual concepts tailored to marketing goals.
- Help set up and test cameras, lighting, and other equipment before shoots.
- Production:
- Support the DP in operating cameras, setting up lighting, and managing audio equipment during shoots.
- Assist with on-set logistics, such as organizing props, monitoring continuity, and managing equipment.
- Operate secondary cameras or capture behind-the-scenes content for agency use.
- Post-Production:
- Review and organize footage to ensure all required shots are captured.
- Collaborate with editors and the DP to understand color grading, shot selection, and other post-production processes.
- Provide feedback or ideas for enhancing the visual quality of projects.
- General Support:
- Maintain and organize production gear to ensure it's in top condition for future shoots.
- Learn and implement best practices for shooting content designed for social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Assist in brainstorming creative ideas for visual campaigns that align with client goals.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a film, media, or marketing program (preferred but not mandatory).
- Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of cameras, lighting setups, and other production equipment.
- Familiarity with social media content formats (e.g., vertical videos, short reels).
- Knowledge of editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Creativity and passion for storytelling through video.
- Ability to take direction and work collaboratively in a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
