Job Requirements:
· Five to Seven (5-7) years of construction experience with expertise in engineering, construction, construction management, and cost estimating, or related field
· Must have clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and strong decision-making abilities
· Knowledge of construction market in area of operation including pricing conventions and trends
· Ability to prepare budget/conceptual cost estimates from limited information
· Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and other design documents
· Ability to perform accurate detailed quantity take-offs.
· Must have excellent communication and presentation skills
· Solid organization, planning, collaboration, and leadership skills
· Effectively coordinate and work independently with the client and stakeholders to accurately identify and capture project requirements
· Demonstrated proficiency with Internet and Microsoft Office Suite
· CCP or CEP certification (or ability to achieve within six months) is desired
· Possess the right to legally work in the United State without sponsorship of any type (e.g. being a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien of the United States)
· Four-year college degree (B.S.) in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
· Experience with USACE, AFCEE, NAVFAC or DOE construction programs
· Experience with MII, PACES, RSMeans, and Success Estimator
· Project scheduling and risk analysis experience

They person can of course be on site regularly if they are in the area or would be interested in moving to the area. Client would help with relocation. Typically, they provide about $5,000 for pack/move costs. Policy is for the relocating employee to submit 3 estimates to MOCA and they typically pay/reimburse the average of the three. Be great to get someone to Florida. They have a good crew of estimators in Niceville, FL about an hour and one half away to the West

The successful Construction Cost Estimator candidate will be critical team members of our proven government/commercial cost estimating and project controls team. Interested candidates should have a thorough understanding of construction means and methods and should be able to successfully develop construction cost estimates for horizontal and vertical construction in diverse locations. Duties include, but are not limited to, independent cost estimate preparation at all phases of design, cost estimate reviews/validations, value engineering cost support, facility programming cost support, cost analysis, economic analysis; life cycle costs and contingency/risk analysis. Direct experience in commercial and military construction with the Department of Defenses Military Construction and Civil Works and the Department of Energy is desired. Cost Engineering certification and experience using MCACES (MII), PACES, Success, Primavera, Crystal Ball, and other cost engineering applications are a plus.
