About the job Sr. Tax Accountant
Professional Responsibilities:
Review and prepare individual, corporate, partnership tax returns, and a limited number of trust and non-profit returns.
Identify relevant tax issues and planning opportunities and assist with their implementation.
Review and respond to IRS and state & local tax notices and audits.
Perform and supervise accounting write-up and prepare financial statements.
Conduct comprehensive year-end tax planning.
Supervise, train, and review the work of other team members in tax and accounting.
Learn various aspects of the music industry, athlete taxation, and various other small business clients.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, with a strong grasp of accounting and financial statement concepts.
Current experience with a CPA firm and/or family office.
In-depth knowledge and experience with tax return concepts for Individuals, S Corporations, C Corporations, LLC's, and Partnerships.
Experience with tax audits and reviewing and responding to notices.
Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve tax and financial issues, perform research, and demonstrate critical thinking necessary for advice and planning.
Strong software skills, including proficiency in Excel and experience with CCH ProSystem.
Ability to interact and effectively manage communication with clients through written, verbal, and in-person means.
Ability to handle multiple priorities, clients, and tight deadlines as part of a team.
