ABOUT THE CLIENT: Our client is a well-established law firm providing comprehensive legal services. They specialize in bankruptcy, tax debt solutions, workers' compensation, social security, civil litigation, immigration, and personal injury cases.

OVERVIEW: We are seeking a US Paralegal (Bankruptcy Case Manager) skilled in assisting attorneys and managing the delivery of legal services in the office. The Paralegal is responsible for supporting attorneys and managing an assigned group of bankruptcy cases from intake through discharge.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support attorneys with document organization, case management, court hearing preparation, and adversarial trial support.
  • Prepare Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Cases using Best Case cloud software.
  • Work independently with clients on document collection and guide them through the filing process.
  • Communicate with clients regarding upcoming case status.
  • File cases electronically through the ECF court filing system.
  • Attend weekly team meetings and provide case status updates and outcomes.
  • Manage individual caseload independently.
  • Prepare and serve court documents and other legal instruments.
  • Prepare and serve written communications, including email.
  • Maintain high organization of all client files, both paper and electronic.
  • Manage attorney calendars and court dockets.
  • Support attorneys with special projects.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience as a Bankruptcy Paralegal, particularly with Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases.
  • Proficiency in virtual collaboration tools, cloud-based legal software, and electronic case filing systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Compassionate towards client needs, fostering trust and understanding.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong active listening abilities.
  • Professional demeanor, high work ethic, and a team-oriented attitude.


SHIFT SCHEDULE: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Central Time
