Join Our Team

We are seeking an Education Specialist (Certified Teacher) for home instruction to join our team of professionals. The Education Specialist (Certified Teacher) works as a part of the treatment team to ensure adolescents maintain scholastic progress, complete assignments, and perform at a level of competence. The Education Specialist plays an important role in delivering a safe, therapeutic, and educational environment to provide positive outcomes for adolescents in our day treatment program.

Requirements

To be considered for the Education Specialist position, you will need:

• Bachelors degree in education or related field
• NJ teacher certification
• Experience with adolescent behavioral health including mental health and substance use disorders
• Knowledge of Chromebook, Google Classroom and other educational supports preferred

Education Specialist (Teacher) Responsibilities

• Function as part of the treatment team and assist in maintaining and evaluating individual educational plans
• Motivate and supervise adolescents to complete all assignments and assessments provided by their high school
• Confer with parents and/or students to ensure educational needs are met
• Adhere to State and Federal education standards, testing guidelines, and mandates
• Document adjustment and progress in relation to education and treatment plans, maintain academic and attendance records
• Provide guidance to adolescents, with responsibility for their safety, education, treatment plan, and personal conduct
• Effectively communicate with school counselors and educators regarding adolescent's academic needs and progress

Pay: $40,000 per year

Schedule: M-F; part time hours with a minimum of 20 hours per week
