Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to join our leadership team. The DON will play a critical role in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of nursing care within our drug and alcohol treatment facility. This individual will lead our nursing staff to ensure exceptional patient care, compliance with regulatory standards, and the implementation of best practices in addiction treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring alignment with the facility's mission, vision, and values.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure high-quality nursing care.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including Joint Commission standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient care outcomes, making data-driven improvements as necessary.
  • Manage nursing schedules, staffing levels, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency and patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and departmental activities.
  • Act as a liaison between nursing staff and administration, addressing concerns and promoting open communication.
  • Stay current on industry trends and advancements in addiction treatment to inform nursing practices.

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in TX, in good standing.
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Masters degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in addiction treatment, behavioral health, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to addiction treatment facilities.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
