Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters preferred)
• Valid New Jersey teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with adolescents, preferably in an inpatient or therapeutic setting
• Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and special education laws
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Patience, empathy, and a commitment to student growth and development

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students
• Deliver tailored instruction to meet the unique needs of each student
• Collaborate with therapists, counselors, and healthcare staff to ensure a holistic approach to student development
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed
• Provide a supportive, structured classroom environment that fosters academic success and emotional well-being
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding special education
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities

Location: Pinebrook, NJ

Job Type: Part Time

Schedule: 9:30am - 12:30pm

Pay: $30,000 - $35,000 per year
