Position Overview
As Print Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of print production from prepress to final delivery. You'll ensure projects meet quality standards, deadlines, and budget requirements while leading a dynamic production team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily print operations: plan schedules, allocate resources, and coordinate job flow
- Supervise, coach, and develop print/embroidery staff
- Conduct quality control checks (color, bleed, alignment) for screen, digital, and DTF print jobs
- Troubleshoot equipment issues; arrange maintenance or upgrades as needed
- Maintain inventory of inks, blanks, and supplies; monitor usage and reordering
- Collaborate with sales/design teams and clients to understand specs and ensure satisfaction
- Enforce safety, quality standards, and efficient workflows; recommend process improvements
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets and cost controls labor, materials, and production
Qualifications & Skills
- 3 to 5 years in print or production management (screen printing, digital, embroidery, DTF)
- Leadership experience: staffing, training, and motivating production teams
- Technical aptitude: color management, prepress setup, camera ready checks
- Strong project and time management skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication liaising with clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Proficiency in print related software (Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop); familiarity with inventory systems
- Physical ability to handle essential duties equipment operation, lifting, and inspection
- Degree or certificate in graphic communications, print technology, business, or equivalent experience preferred
