Were looking for a skilled and empathetic Family Therapist to work with adolescent clients (ages 11-17) and their families. This role is essential in providing impactful family therapy for clients in residential treatment for conditions such as self-harm, aggression, suicidal ideation, substance abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, and more. Requirements
- Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
- Valid licensure (LMFT, LCSW, LPC, or equivalent)
- Experience working with adolescents and families, preferably in a residential or acute care setting
- Strong understanding of family dynamics, trauma-informed care, and behavioral health
- Flexibility and adaptability to address a range of complex client needs
Responsibilities
- Conduct family therapy sessions for adolescent clients and their families, tailoring interventions to address diverse family challenges
- Collaborate with clinical teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each client
- Facilitate group therapy sessions, as appropriate, to support clients social and emotional growth
- Lead and contribute to monthly Family Weekend events, offering both clinical and experiential programming aimed at strengthening family bonds and communication
- Employ creative and evidence-based therapeutic techniques to meet the needs of clients and families, adjusting approaches as necessary
- Document and evaluate client progress, adjusting therapeutic interventions as needed for optimal outcomes
Job Type: Full Time
Pay: $55,000 - $70,000 per year
