We are currently seeking a seasoned and proactive Director of Compliance to join our leadership team.

Position Summary:
The Director of Compliance will oversee all regulatory, legal, and accreditation activities to ensure the organization adheres to federal, state, and local standards as well as internal policies. This role is critical in maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct and care delivery across all clinical and operational areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage the organizations compliance program, policies, and procedures.

  • Ensure adherence to federal and state laws and regulations including HIPAA, OSHA, Joint Commission/CARF standards, and behavioral health licensure requirements.

  • Lead and coordinate all audits, inspections, and surveys from regulatory bodies.

  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations and update policies accordingly.

  • Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and executive leadership to assess and mitigate risk.

  • Provide compliance training and ongoing education to staff at all levels.

  • Oversee incident reporting, investigations, and resolution of compliance issues.

  • Maintain and manage all documentation necessary for accreditation and regulatory compliance.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external regulatory agencies.

  • Conduct routine internal audits and report findings to senior leadership.

  • Foster a culture of compliance, ethics, and accountability throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required; Masters degree or Juris Doctor preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of compliance experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting.

  • In-depth knowledge of behavioral health regulations, privacy laws (HIPAA), and quality standards.

  • Demonstrated experience with Joint Commission, CARF, or other healthcare accreditation processes.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

  • Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced, client-centered environment.

  • Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or similar credential is a plus.
