Join Our Team
We are currently seeking an experienced, professional Lead Infant Teacher for our New York City early daycares. As lead teacher you will:
Be responsible for the care, supervision, and management of a group of young children and infants. Create and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum, and may also lead a team of assistant teachers and aides. Lead teachers are responsible for many tasks, including:
- Planning and implementing activitiesLead teachers develop daily lesson plans and classroom routines, and plan activities that are engaging and educational. They may use a variety of teaching methods, such as stories, media, games, and drawing.
- Providing careLead teachers ensure that children's basic needs are met, and may also provide caregiving activities.
- Managing behaviorLead teachers establish and enforce rules of behavior, and may also provide after-school tutoring.
- Communicating with parentsLead teachers track children's progress and communicate with parents and guardians about their child's behavior.
- Mentoring other teachersLead teachers may provide guidance and mentorship to other teachers in their grade level or subject.

Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood or a related field; or.
- Hold an Associate's degree with a commitment to obtain NY State Early Childhood teacher certification within seven years of employment.
- Certified ages birth -5 years old
Pay: $23-30/hr
Schedule: M-F
