Join Our Team
The Director of Nursing is responsible for all Nursing related services for each client. They are also involved in ongoing monitoring and evaluation to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the delivery of client care. In addition, they are involved with the development and evaluation of nursing unit personnel, and maintains the optional medical aspects of the client care unit.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in good standing
- 2 year minimum experience with Skilled Nursing
- 1 year minimum experience with Supervisory Role

Responsibilities
- Participates in Interdisciplinary Treatment Plan meetings.
- Stabilize clients according to unit protocol.
- Complete nursing assessments.
- Monitor vital signs according to policies and procedure, conduct client checks and observe monitor or assign tech to assist with the above.
- Supervise shift nurses
- Ensure that shifts are always covered.
- Facilitate monthly staff training or as needed.
- Attend quarterly meetings for the following committees: Performance Improvement. Leadership/Administrative Committee, & Safety and Risk Management Committee
- Attends Bi-Annual Meetings and any additional as determined for the following committees: Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee & Medical Services Review Committee
- Identified as the Designee for the Infection Control Committee and handles all responsibilities associated with such position
- Identified as the Audit Staff for Medical and will be trained to audit, prepare for and sit through on-site audits
- Attend and participate in daily Interdisciplinary Staff Meetings..
- Oversee Doctors Orders to pharmacy and assure that medication arrives.
- Oversee all Medication Administration.
- Interviewing, Hiring and Firing of Nursing staff
- Review and complete Performance Evaluations for nursing staff.
- Complies with all Policies and Procedures in accordance with State Licensing Standards and Joint Commission regulations.
- Knowledge of program policies and procedures.
- Implements and monitors the Infection Control Team.
- Protect the privacy of all client information in accordance with privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a healthcare provider. Failure to comply with policies and procedures on client privacy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Pay: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
