Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Alumni Coordinator to join our team in Sparta, NJ. This role is ideal for an individual with a background in behavioral health, admissions, sales, and business development who is passionate about supporting clients in long-term recovery. The Alumni Coordinator will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with alumni, facilitating ongoing engagement, and ensuring a seamless transition from treatment to aftercare. This position blends client support, case management, discharge planning, and outreach, requiring someone who can balance clinical awareness with interpersonal and business development skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Alumni Engagement & Relationship Building: Develop and maintain meaningful connections with program alumni through regular follow-up calls, outreach efforts, events, and check-ins to promote sustained recovery.
- Discharge Planning Support: Collaborate with clinical and case management teams to support smooth transitions from treatment to alumni programming, ensuring clients are set up with appropriate aftercare plans and community resources.
- Group Facilitation: Help run alumni support groups, educational workshops, and recovery-focused meetings to provide ongoing accountability and encouragement for alumni.
- Business Development & Outreach: Utilize admissions, sales, and business development skills to expand the alumni network, strengthen community partnerships, and increase program visibility.
- Case Management Support: Assist with light case management duties, including connecting alumni to housing, employment resources, peer support, and continued treatment options when needed.
- Event Coordination: Plan, organize, and execute alumni events, reunions, and community-building activities to foster a sense of belonging and connection.
- Collaboration with Admissions: Partner with the admissions team to share alumni success stories and promote positive outcomes to prospective clients and their families.
- Tracking & Reporting: Maintain accurate alumni records, track engagement metrics, and provide regular updates to leadership on alumni program outcomes and growth.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in a behavioral health or addiction treatment setting is required.
- Background in admissions, business development, or sales strongly preferred.
- Experience with discharge planning and case management in a treatment facility setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse groups of people.
- Group facilitation or public speaking experience preferred.
- Knowledge of recovery principles, relapse prevention, and community resources.
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Kipu, Sunwave, or similar) and MS Office Suite is a plus.
- Must be highly organized, self-motivated, and able to balance multiple responsibilities.
- Personal or professional connection to recovery is a plus but not required.

- Full-time, on-site position based in Sparta, NJ.
