About the Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Logging Supervisor to oversee state forest operations, ensuring compliance with sales permit conditions, log grading standards, safety regulations, and operational efficiency. This role also involves collaboration with forestry staff in freehold operations as directed by the Resource Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise forestry staff and contractors
• Conduct log grading assessments (South East 40+ and 30+ Western)
• Oversee Operational Harvesting Plan Assessments
• Perform sale area inspections
• Develop and implement road management plans
• Liaise with forestry authorities on sale area management

Skills:

• Proven experience in logging supervision or forest management
• Strong physical fitness for fieldwork
• Knowledge of forestry planning, legislation, and biodiversity management
• Experience in contractor supervision and compliance
• Ability to utilize technology and forestry systems effectively
• Willingness to travel weekly, covering areas from Injune in the West to Gympie in the East
