Due to continued growth, they have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and experienced 2IC Store Person to be an integral part of their WA Distribution Centre. This hands-on role supports the day-to-day management of warehouse operations, ensuring accurate, timely picking, packing, and shipping. You'll also supervise the warehouse team and step in for the WA DC Manager as needed. This role requires solid warehouse experience, an understanding of health and safety protocols, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate container deliveries and pickups with logistics partners
  • Load trucks safely and accurately using forklifts
  • Unload containers (both manually and with forklift assistance)
  • Prepare export freight while ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Accurately pick orders with RF scanners and follow WMS procedures
  • Safely operate order pickers, pallet wrappers, and related machinery
  • Pack and label orders according to transport specifications
  • Supervise warehouse activities, including team management in the absence of the WA DC Manager
  • Communicate with internal teams (Purchasing, Shipping, Customer Service) for seamless order fulfilment
  • Conduct pre-start checks, report machinery issues, and uphold health and safety standards
  • Manage warehouse consumables and ensure efficient open and shut-down processes
  • Oversee warehouse workflows from picking to dispatch, including stock receipt and put-away
  • Assist the WA DC Manager with warehouse-related projects and additional tasks as needed

Skills:

  • Proven experience in a similar role with team supervision, ideally within wholesale or bulk storage
  • Strong proficiency with RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Valid forklift license with high-reach forklift and EPJ experience
  • Solid knowledge of health and safety protocols, particularly in manual handling
  • Excellent communicator, capable of collaborating across multiple internal teams
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement
