Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, plus 3 years of experience in Finance or Accounting is required.
  • Experience with a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry is desired.
  • MBA is a plus.
  • Must have knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles in accordance with GAAP.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial report, statements and projections.
  • Must have working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, and rolling budgets.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing general and cost accounting in a standard cost environment is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems a plus.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Prepares monthly financial package for the division: Compiles comprehensive financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow summaries, variance analyses against budget, and key performance indicators (KPIs) tailored to divisional operations, ensuring timely delivery to senior management for informed decision-making.
  • Handles Business Financial Consolidation (BFC) entries and management of BFC: Manages the consolidation of financial data from multiple business units into a unified reporting structure, including journal entries, intercompany eliminations, reconciliations, and compliance with parent company standards to produce accurate group-level financial statements.
  • Facilitates annual operating budget and rolling forecast: Leads the budgeting process by collaborating with department heads to gather inputs, build detailed cost and revenue models, align with strategic goals, and develop rolling 12-18 month forecasts that update quarterly to reflect changing business conditions and market dynamics.
  • Analyzes various cost elements and overheads: Performs in-depth reviews of direct and indirect costs, identifies trends, variances, and inefficiencies in areas like labor, materials, and overhead allocations, recommending optimizations to improve cost control and profitability.
  • Develops and prepares ad-hoc management reports for decision making: Creates customized reports and dashboards on demand, incorporating financial metrics, scenario analyses, and visualizations using tools like Excel or BI software to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and operational adjustments.
  • Creates and modifies financial forecasting models: Designs, builds, and refines dynamic Excel-based or advanced modeling tools (e.g., incorporating Monte Carlo simulations or driver-based projections) to predict future financial performance, sensitivity to key variables, and long-term financial health.
  • Assists in the month end closing process: Supports timely and accurate close activities, including account reconciliations, accrual postings, expense matching, fixed asset verifications, and review of trial balances to ensure books are closed within deadlines and financial data integrity.
  • Special projects as assigned to drive business performance improvement: Takes ownership of cross-functional initiatives such as capital expenditure evaluations, profitability deep dives, process automation, ERP implementations, or merger integration support, delivering actionable insights to enhance overall fiscal soundness and operational efficiency.
