Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a high-volume operational environment
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, treasury management, and billing practices
- Ability to quickly understand operational workflows and translate financial data into meaningful business insights
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in accounting systems and financial software, including QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adapt to change while maintaining a clear understanding of broader financial and operational objectives
- Ability to work full-time hours in a collaborative, in-person environment
Day to Day Responsibilities:
The Accounting Manager will lead day-to-day accounting and financial operations. This is a high-visibility role that works closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, operational insight, and strong financial controls.
The ideal candidate is an operations-focused accounting professional who can quickly understand the flow of business activity and translate financial data into meaningful insights that support better decision making. This position oversees core accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger management, financial reporting, and the month-end close process.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with established accounting principles and internal policies
- Oversee inventory accounting, including tracking purchase costs, processing activity, and sales performance while analyzing pricing fluctuations and their impact on profitability
- Design, implement, and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and operational procedures
- Lead the accounting operations process, including evaluating and improving financial systems, workflows, and integrations
- Develop and manage cash flow forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting to support operational planning
- Provide leadership and guidance to accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, and general ledger functions
- Partner with executive leadership and department managers to interpret financial results and provide analysis that supports business performance
- Prepare financial reports, assist with budgeting processes, and support special financial projects as needed
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen financial operations and organizational efficiency
