STAFFING FISH is actively seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Accountant who will play a pivotal role in our team, with a primary focus on inventory accounting. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing our company's inventory accounting and reporting processes. This role includes preparing and reviewing journal entries, meticulously conducting account and balance sheet reconciliations, conducting in-depth margin analysis, and delivering precise financial reports. Experience with multi-state sales tax is a BIG PLUS, but not required.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze and reconcile inventory transactions for accuracy and completeness in support of monthly financial reporting.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and reports and prepare monthly and annual inventory reconciliations.
- Analyze complex inventory data to identify patterns and recommend actions for process improvement.
- Perform general ledger, margin and expense analysis, and account reconciliations.
- Perform detailed variance analysis on assigned accounts to understand reasons for changes and help ensure accuracy.
- Summarize and prepare financial status and transactions reports, including profit and loss statements and other necessary reports.
- Assist with the month-end close of the general ledger and work with outside audit firms during the annual audit and other external reviews.
- Lead ad-hoc and special projects and support other departments as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required.
- At least four (4) years of full-cycle accounting experience.
- At least two (2) years of recent inventory accounting experience.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial and transaction reports to management.
