Job Title: Commodity Manager-Accessories and Wood

Job Location: Onsite in Irving, TX 

Job Summary: A successful Candidate will possess strong analytical skills to identify and recommend cost-savings strategies. The Candidate should have proven in-depth experience with sourcing strategies and negotiating complex contracts to improve cost and quality.

The Commodity Manager will have commercial responsibility for over $50 million in materials including categories like wood, pallets, accessories. He/she will elaborate strategy plans, budgets, long-term value initiatives reporting and communicating with business and senior management.

As the Commodity Manager, you’ll be responsible for strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management. You’ll stay ahead of market trends by conducting regular market analysis and benchmarking. You’ll leverage data analytics to drive cost savings, optimize supply chains, and mitigate risks. By fostering strong partnerships with suppliers, you’ll ensure a reliable and efficient supply of material while staying compliant.

Qualifications:

5+ years of professional experience in manufacturing organizations, project management, procurement, supply chain and leading cross-functional projects.

Sourcing experience on direct, packaging materials and manufactured products preferred.

Proven expertise in negotiations and contracting, including should-cost models, multi-year contracts, complex terms and conditions, performance incentives, risk management, e-sourcing, Tri-lateral negotiations.

Excellent planning and time management skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain or commodity management experience. MBA, CPM, CPSM or other procurement and/or supply chain certification preferred.
