Here at FWD Freight Services we are seeking a Data Entry / Trainee Freight Forwarder. This is a very administrative intensive role which requires strong attention to detail and accuracy skills. You will be given the opportunity to join an incredibly fast paced, demanding, yet rewarding business. FWD are part of EFS Global, who is a logistics business that has gone from strength to strength over the years, growing aggressively and consistently improving our ways of working.
This position is within our Import/Export team at one of our offices in central Liverpool. The role mainly entails the completion of Customs Clearances/Declarations and arranging for goods to be imported & exported globally. Given the recent changes brought on by Brexit we have experienced unprecedented volumes of work. The team has already grown rapidly since the beginning of this year, meaning there are always plenty of opportunities for you to step up to the table and take more responsibilities and new challenges.
No previous knowledge or experience of Import/Export, Customs Clearances, freight forwarding is required. The majority of our staff within this department joined us without this knowledge and have been successfully trained to a high standard.
The role as Trainee Freight Forwarder
- This is a vital role within the Supply Chain process for our customers, arranging for timely and cost effective movement of goods, and completing declarations accurately every time to ensure that our customers do not incur further costs or wasted time.
- You will be working within an ever-growing and vibrant team that has a good balance of extensive experience in the industry, as well as individuals that have never worked within the Import/Export sector until joining us.
- The position is very administration intensive.
Requirements to be considered for the Trainee Freight Forwarder position:
- Strong Microsoft Office knowledge, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work within a team, under pressure and work to strict deadlines.
- Energetic, adaptable and eager to learn
No previous knowledge or experience of Import/Export, Customs Clearances, Freight forwarding is required.
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday working 37.5 hrs per week, office based, permanent role. Initially we are offering a salary of £19,000 per annum and would be keen to review CVs that match the above criteria as soon as possible.
