Job Duties
- Develop and execution a reasonable and detailed mined tunnel program and progress control to ensure the key interfacing milestone are achieved;
- Establish feasible mined tunnel project budget and cost control protocol in accordance to minimize the loss against tender budget;
- Recruit competent mined tunnel personal including site engineer, supervisor and skilled labour with the assistance of the tunnel superintendent and managing the logistic/accommodation for the workers in accordance with Covid 19 regulation;
- Specify the rental equipment specification and manage the rental and utilization and maintenance of the required equipment;
- Procure required material and establish logistic plan to ensure adequate material on site for variable geology;
- Scoping, evaluating, award and manage subcontractor to perform specialized work such as water proofing and drill and blast;
- Optimize the temporary work design and minimize material usage of temporary work such as formwork and steel support in the main tunnel;
- Interface coordination with shaft and main tunnel construction activity;
- Over excavation and profiling control;
- Ensure the work quality achieve the contract specification and drawing requirement;
- Contingency measure for underground ingress control
- Material wastage control and delay mitigation measures
- Monthly accrual and forecast of Mined tunnel cost
- Understand & comply with the HSE requirements based on LAIO internal framework, local regulations and contractual obligations
- Communicate the same to subordinates and subcontractors, and monitor compliance on an on-going basis
Job Requirements
- Degree in Engineering with at least 8 years of experience in Mined Tunnel Construction
- Good working knowledge of various excavation methods for Mined Tunnel Construction
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
