Workplace Safety & Health Officer
About the job Workplace Safety & Health Officer
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify all foreseeable hazards in work environment
- Ensure site compliance to WSH Acts and clients requirements
- Recommend solutions to address any unsafe practices or act at workplace and follow up actions to ensure corrective actions being taken by relevant parties
- Part of the Risk Management Team and will be involved in reviewing and commenting on Risk Assessments
- Liaise with staff, consultants and other relevant third parties in regards to safety issues
- Conduct safety campaign / safety training to promote site staff and construction workers' awareness
- Maintain proper documentations, certificates and other related EHS records as required by the regulatory authorities
- Prepare reports on workplace safety assessments and assist in all areas of safety planning and incident prevention
- Plan, coordinate and assist in Internal & External Safety and Health audits (ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001/CONSASS etc)
- Manage sub-contractors' safety procedures and ensure compliance with the Company's Health and Safety standards, policies and practices
- Oversee all other matters relating to WSH
- Other ad-hoc duties assigned by Project Manager
