About the job Workplace Safety & Health Officer

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular site inspections and identify all foreseeable hazards in work environment
  • Ensure site compliance to WSH Acts and clients requirements
  • Recommend solutions to address any unsafe practices or act at workplace and follow up actions to ensure corrective actions being taken by relevant parties
  • Part of the Risk Management Team and will be involved in reviewing and commenting on Risk Assessments
  • Liaise with staff, consultants and other relevant third parties in regards to safety issues
  • Conduct safety campaign / safety training to promote site staff and construction workers' awareness
  • Maintain proper documentations, certificates and other related EHS records as required by the regulatory authorities
  • Prepare reports on workplace safety assessments and assist in all areas of safety planning and incident prevention
  • Plan, coordinate and assist in Internal & External Safety and Health audits (ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001/CONSASS etc)
  • Manage sub-contractors' safety procedures and ensure compliance with the Company's Health and Safety standards, policies and practices
  • Oversee all other matters relating to WSH
  • Other ad-hoc duties assigned by Project Manager
