We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Operations Supervisor II to oversee third-shift operations in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role provides leadership to a team of 8-10 skilled trades personnel and a limited number of production-related employees, ensuring smooth operations in machining, metal fabrication, and welding. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, problem solver, and leader who thrives in a hands-on environment.

This position is fully onsite, and preference will be given to local candidates who do not require relocation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight and work direction to assigned personnel, ensuring they have the training, tools, and work instructions necessary for success.
  • Supervise production activities, monitor Control Plans, and troubleshoot workmanship issues to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Monitor team performance, address concerns, and enforce company policies while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Collaborate with day shift module leaders to support maintenance projects and preventive maintenance initiatives.
  • Determine facility, maintenance, and production priorities in alignment with the production schedule.
  • Communicate policy changes, work schedules, and relevant updates to employees.
  • Plan and oversee equipment maintenance to optimize uptime and maximize capital assets.
  • Implement and monitor safety programs and maintain a clean and organized work environment.


What You Need to Succeed:

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in an industrial setting.
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, skilled trades, or other technical fields.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Willingness to support overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Solid understanding of safe work practices and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and high-pressure situations.
  • Experience managing capital and expense-related projects.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Experience supervising skilled trades employees (electricians, pipefitters, millwrights, and building/grounds personnel).
  • Experience working in a unionized (UAW) environment.
  • Exposure to automation, controls, and robotics.
  • Proficiency in SAP maintenance transactions and purchase order creation.


Education & Experience:

Bachelors degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
