Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Instructor to deliver high-quality technical training on agriculture and precision technology equipment. This role involves leading classroom, lab, in-field, and virtual training sessions for dealership technicians, employees, and customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct hands-on and instructor-led technical training on agricultural equipment, focusing on product features, applications, and system technologies.
- Adapt training content and materials to enhance dealership and employee capabilities in diagnosing, optimizing, selling, and managing agricultural equipment.
- Facilitate lab and field training activities, including setting up, executing, and dismantling training sessions.
- Utilize PowerPoint presentations in classroom instruction and guide technicians through troubleshooting exercises in lab settings.
- Monitor training effectiveness using feedback and Net Promoter Score (NPS) data.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with dealers, field teams, and certified instructors to ensure training programs align with industry needs.
- Research and expand subject matter expertise in machine systems, product applications, and professional development skills.
- Collaborate with development teams to create and update training materials.
Key Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of agricultural equipment and/or precision technology.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
- Experience in training and development, including curriculum design, instruction, and adult learning principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-specific software (e.g., ServiceAdvisor 5, CCMS).
- A demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and the ability to grasp complex systems.
- Ability to operate farm machinery and forklifts (certifications provided upon hire).
- Valid drivers license with the ability to travel domestically up to 25%.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of field experience with direct customer interaction and knowledge of dealer/distribution networks.
- 1+ years of experience working in manufacturing, engineering, or design environments.
- 3+ years as a Field Service Technician, Agronomist, or Service Manager.
Education:
A Bachelors degree in Agriculture, AgriBusiness, Agricultural Education, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
