Operations Supervisor II

About the Role

We are seeking a results-driven Operations Supervisor to oversee manufacturing teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage daily operations, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure efficiency while maintaining quality, safety, and cost targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, experience in a union environment, and proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team of semi to highly skilled employees, ensuring productivity and performance align with company goals.
• Foster a positive work environment through clear communication, feedback, and leadership.
• Ensure employees receive proper training, work instructions, and tools for success.
• Monitor production quality, troubleshoot workmanship issues, and enforce control plans.
• Administer and uphold company policies, procedures, and work rules, addressing concerns as necessary.
• Manage production schedules, assign daily tasks, and coordinate overtime to meet delivery targets.
• Oversee equipment and facility maintenance to maximize uptime and operational efficiency.
• Monitor departmental budgets and implement cost-control measures.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Promote and enforce workplace safety and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 5+ years of professional experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in a union environment.
• Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office Suite.
• Ability to work primarily on 1st shift, with flexibility to cover other shifts as needed.
