Electronics Test Technician

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronics Test Technician to support our engineering team in building test fixtures, debugging circuitry, setting up test equipment, and performing critical testing procedures. This role is ideal for a hands-on problem solver with a background in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering who thrives in a dynamic, technical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up dynamometers for electric motor and inverter testing.
• Perform inspections and diagnostic tests to identify defects in electronic assemblies.
• Rework products following company and industry standards.
• Build test harnesses, loads, and circuit boards to support product development.
• Document and maintain accurate records of all work performed.
• Identify and report process or design issues and assist in corrective actions.
• Collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, and other team members.
• Design and build engineering test fixtures as needed.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Qualifications:

Education:

• A.S. in Electronics, a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

• Minimum one year of experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering (three or more years preferred).

Skills & Abilities:

• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic components.
• Ability to read schematics and engineering diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to identify root causes of failures.
• Experience maintaining lab equipment and performing mechanical tasks.
• Ability to train junior technicians and work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills:

• Soldering proficiency.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Familiarity with 3D printing, robotics, automation, or electrical safety.
• Experience in related technical fields such as automotive repair, computer hardware, or mechatronics.
