About the job Product Verification & Validation Engineer
As a Product Verification & Validation (PVV) Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that prototype components and machines meet durability and performance requirements at key stages of the Product Development Process. You will be responsible for designing and executing validation tests, analyzing results, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to refine product designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement test plans to validate the durability and performance of new designs, creating new test methodologies when necessary.
- Lead root cause investigations and data analysis when prototypes fail, driving solutions that enhance product reliability.
- Apply expertise in mechanical and electrical engineering to support design reviews, identify testing needs, and refine validation strategies.
- Act as the voice of the customer, leveraging product knowledge and customer insights to develop tests that accurately simulate real-world usage.
- Organize and manage multiple testing activities, ensuring timely execution while maintaining data integrity.
- Collaborate effectively with diverse technical professionals, including global teams, to align testing strategies with development goals.
- Communicate technical findings clearly and concisely to both engineering teams and leadership, in both written and verbal formats.
- Prepare test stands, execute lab and field tests efficiently, and oversee instrumentation setup.
- Utilize engineering software tools and test automation systems to streamline validation processes.
Business Need:
Due to increasing project demands, an additional PVV Engineer is required to support the Turf Care group in planning and executing virtual analysis, laboratory testing, and field testing of prototype machines.
Qualifications:
- Education: 4-year degree in Engineering or Technology preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in product verification, validation, or related engineering fields.
- Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in engineering tools, software systems, and databases.
- Experience with instrumentation methods and test automation.
- Familiarity with test data analysis tools such as nCode, LabView, or MATLAB.
- Understanding of product development lifecycle, including design, analysis, testing, and manufacturing.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
- Effective collaboration with cross-functional and global teams.
Additional Details:
- Shift: 1st shift (overtime may be required as needed).
- Safety Requirement: Safety shoes with internal metatarsals (no flap over laces) required on the first day.
