Operations Supervisor - 2nd Shift

We are seeking a dedicated Operations Supervisor to lead and support our team in achieving operational excellence. This role is responsible for overseeing warehouse distribution and material flow processes, ensuring efficiency, and fostering a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to engage with both salaried and hourly personnel.

Schedule:

• 2nd Shift: Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM 9:30 PM
• Training: Conducted on 1st shift
• Overtime: Required as needed, including some weekend work
• Safety Gear: Metatarsal protection required

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily operations to meet performance metrics and efficiency goals
• Manage warehouse distribution and material flow processes
• Foster a collaborative and productive work environment across all levels of personnel
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reporting and communication
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflow and productivity
• Coordinate manpower and capacity planning to meet operational demands

Required Qualifications

• Ability to work multiple shifts and overtime as needed
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Knowledge of warehouse distribution and material flow processes

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)

• Experience supervising or leading a team in a union environment
• Familiarity with Continuous Improvement (CI) and 5S methodology
• Experience with incentive pay systems such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan)
• Knowledge of statistical tools and techniques for quality management
• Background in project management
• Experience with capacity and manpower planning

Education & Experience

• Bachelors degree in any discipline (preferred)
• OR 1+ years of equivalent work experience in a related field
