About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Professional to support a dynamic warehouse and distribution center operating 24/7. This swing-shift position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, compliant, and proactive workplace environment across both 1st and 2nd shifts. Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a swing-shift safety lead, supporting the 1st shift safety team and directly overseeing 2nd shift safety operations.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and operations teams to develop and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Assist in the development and deployment of required OSHA-compliant training programs for 2nd shift team members.
  • Maintain mobile equipment certification records and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and resource for risk identification, control strategies, safety audits, and hazard prevention during the 2nd shift operation.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the shop floor (~50% of the time) to reinforce safety best practices and engage directly with personnel.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of safety practices within warehouse and/or manufacturing environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or related field or equivalent safety experience in a high-volume industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and incident reporting skills.
  • CSP (Certified Safety Professional) accreditation is preferred but not required.

Additional Notes

  • Metatarsal protective footwear is required from day one.
  • This is an onsite position based in a distribution center, supporting swing shift operations.
