We are seeking a dedicated Safety Professional to develop and enforce workplace safety policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a culture of safety. This role involves managing safety programs, training employees, and serving as a liaison for safety-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track and report OSHA metrics, input monthly safety data, and manage safety documentation.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and support workers compensation claims.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA and Life Safety 101 policies, safety signage, and document retention.
  • Develop and conduct safety training, including PPE certification, new employee orientations, and ongoing awareness programs.
  • Create SOPs for equipment safety (LOTO, confined space, electrical, lithium-ion batteries).
  • Lead safety audits, inspections, and ensure new equipment meets compliance standards.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness, response drills, and manage the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
  • Serve as the point of contact for regulatory agencies, hazardous materials compliance, and contractor safety.
  • Support disaster recovery, business continuity, ergonomics programs, and first aid/CPR training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a safety-related role.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, training, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to high safety standards.
