In this role, you'll support engineers by building test fixtures and conducting tests on electric motors, AC compressors, pumps, and moreplaying a key part in advancing next-generation electrification technologies.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Set up and operate test equipment for electric motors, pumps, and AC compressors
  • Build and maintain custom test fixtures for mechanical and electrical testing
  • Work closely with design and test engineers to execute lab-based testing plans
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
  • Use hand tools and power tools daily for assembly, disassembly, and fixture fabrication
  • Document test results, procedures, and equipment maintenance logs
  • Assist in maintaining lab equipment and ensuring a clean, safe workspace
  • Provide input on design improvements or process optimizations
  • Perform other tasks as directed by engineering or lab management

What You Bring

Education & Experience:

  • Associate degree in mechanical or electrical discipline, technical diploma, military training, or equivalent experience
  • 1+ year of hands-on experience in a lab, testing, or manufacturing environment (3+ years preferred)

Core Skills:

  • Strong mechanical background with electrical familiarity
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Understanding of motors, compressors, pumps, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read technical documents, schematics, and equipment datasheets
  • Familiarity with tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other test instruments
  • Experience assembling, disassembling, and maintaining mechanical test setups

Preferred Experience:

  • Soldering, prototyping, and test harness construction
  • Exposure to electrification systems, automotive testing, or HVAC components
  • Comfort working independently and collaborating with cross-functional teams
