Job Purpose:
Maintain and troubleshoot electrical/mechanical testing rigs and lab equipment while supporting the assembly, testing, and validation of electronics or electro-mechanical products.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand and execute defined test methods and requirements.
• Maintain lab equipment in optimal working condition.
• Troubleshoot defective lab equipment, perform initial repairs, and oversee routine maintenance as needed.
• Construct test harnesses, load boxes, and test fixtures with minimal supervision to support product verification.
• Document and maintain accurate records of all work performed.
• Identify process, test, or design issues, inform supervisors, and recommend corrective actions.
• Design and assemble electrical/mechanical fixtures and test setups to meet testing requirements.
• Conduct inspections, tests, and failure analyses to determine the root cause of defects in tests or assemblies.
• Create test documentation for prototype products when engineering instructions are unavailable.
• Maintain effective and professional communication with all stakeholders.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Key Skills:

• Strong mechanical aptitude, including experience with dyno precision.
• Electrical troubleshooting, including working with wire harnesses and test fixture assembly.

Work Environment:

• 75% of time spent in the lab performing hands-on testing.
• 25% dedicated to meetings and reporting.
