We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Equipment Engineer to support the Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) department in our state-of-the-art wafer fabrication facility. Position Summary

As an Equipment Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the performance, maintenance, and improvement of advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Your responsibilities will include new equipment installation and planning, preventive and corrective maintenance, technician training programs, and driving overall equipment uptime to support high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Develop and maintain detailed equipment specifications.
  • Design and execute corrective maintenance plans for operational reliability.
  • Collaborate with equipment, production, and process teams to prioritize work and uphold production quality standards.
  • Create, implement, and maintain certification programs for technician training.
  • Drive equipment improvement initiatives and continuous operational enhancements.
  • Lead and oversee equipment relocation and new installations.
  • Participate in technician hiring, transfer, and cross-training processes.
  • Provide clear and consistent communication through reports, verbal pass-downs, and presentations to equipment, production, and process groups.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of fab experience with semiconductor equipment.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering.
  • Strong technical acumen with advanced troubleshooting skills (board level required; component level preferred).
  • Ability to analyze complex equipment schematics for efficient problem resolution.
  • Hands-on experience with CMP toolsets preferred:
    • AMAT Mirra Polishers
    • LAM Ontrak Scrubbers
  • Experience with additional toolsets (e.g., Disco grinders, tape/detapers) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SPC, FMEA, and standard engineering practices.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and support additional toolsets.
