Position Overview

We are now hiring a hands-on Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations across multiple legal entities. This role will play a key part in building scalable processes, improving reporting, and supporting executive leadership with strategic financial insight during a period of continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle accounting across multiple entities, including month-end close and consolidated reporting

  • Oversee AP, AR, GL, job costing, payroll review, and bank reconciliations

  • Maintain and enhance internal systems, reporting structures, and chart of accounts

  • Manage intercompany transactions and eliminations

  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and reporting packages

  • Coordinate audits, reviews, and tax filings with external CPA firms

  • Strengthen internal controls, policies, and financial procedures

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

  • Provide financial analysis to support executive decision-making and vendor negotiations

  • Mentor accounting staff and serve as liaison with banks, insurers, and external partners

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MBA preferred

  • 7–12 years of progressive accounting experience

  • 3+ years in a Controller or Accounting Manager leadership role

  • Proven experience managing multi-entity accounting and consolidations

  • Experience with ERP systems (non-QuickBooks environments preferred)

  • Strong Excel and analytical skills

  • Construction, service, distribution, or manufacturing industry experience preferred
