Production Coordinator

A growing food manufacturing company in Northeast Georgia is seeking a highly organized Production Coordinator to support production planning, scheduling, inventory management, and operational efficiency. This role works closely with production, processing, and sales teams to ensure customer demand is met while maximizing plant productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and plant capacity.
  • Coordinate with production, processing, and sales teams to ensure alignment on production goals and priorities.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to address operational challenges or changes in demand.
  • Analyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to ensure adequate supply while minimizing waste.
  • Communicate production schedules and schedule changes to relevant departments in a timely and effective manner.
  • Maintain accurate records related to production schedules, inventory levels, and operational activities.
  • Enter purchase orders for raw materials and coordinate material availability to support production requirements.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and operational planning activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in supply chain, production planning, inventory control, manufacturing operations, or a related function preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
