Senior .NET Integration Developer - Investment Platforms

Type: Contract, W2 only

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior .NET Integration Developer to support a long-term public sector engagement focused on critical investment systems. This role involves designing and developing .NET software, integrating with platforms including, but not limited to BlackRock Aladdin, Charles River, and State Street Bank, and supporting secure data exchanges using HTTPS, SFTP, and PGP encryption. The developer will also maintain advanced Excel macros, optimize SQL queries, build reports (SSRS/Crystal), and contribute to cloud-based development in Azure.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze business and system requirements, propose technical solutions, and estimate level of effort.
• Design, develop, and maintain .NET-based applications and integrations using C# and SQL Server.
• Build and support secure data interfaces with platforms such as BlackRock Aladdin, Charles River (CRIMS), and State Street Bank.
• Develop and maintain Excel Macros, Add-ins, MS Access tools, and custom reporting using SSRS and/or Crystal Reports.
• Optimize and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for performance and reliability.
• Support daily operations of investment systems, including application monitoring and issue resolution.
• Participate in Azure-based development and assist in CRIMS upgrade efforts.
• Ensure technical documentation is up to date and contribute to ongoing knowledge transfer to state personnel.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience supporting critical investment management systems, using Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, and maintaining system documentation.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience with C#, object-oriented programming, and PGP encryption/decryption.
• 10+ years of experience developing and supporting applications using Microsoft .NET and SQL Server.
• 5+ years of experience building advanced Excel Macros, Add-ins, custom workbooks, and working with MS Access.
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience in technical project management.
• 5+ years of experience tuning complex SQL queries for performance.
• 5+ years of experience developing and deploying Crystal Reports and/or SSRS reports.
• 5+ years of experience developing investment-enabling interfaces with banking, investment management, and financial information partners, including, but not limited to BlackRock Aladdin, Charles River Order Management System, and State Street Bank.
• 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting applications in a Microsoft Azure Cloud environment.
• 3+ years of experience working with HTTPS and SFTP/FTP tools for secure data transfer.
