Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical

Tasks and Responsibilities:

As a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical/Surgical care, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and current condition.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery.
  • Wound Care: Provide wound care and post-operative monitoring.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

  • Emergency Response: Respond effectively to medical emergencies within the unit.
  • Comfort and Support: Ensure patients' physical and emotional comfort during their stay.
  • Adherence to Protocols: Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in 
  • Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire.

  • Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience in a medical/surgical nursing role.
  • Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Skills: Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Certification Requirements:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

State License Requirements:

  • New Hampshire
