About the Role

Were looking for AWS Cloud & DevOps Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this hands-on technical role, youll work closely with our Customer Success and Engineering teams to ensure our web applications and cloud infrastructure run smoothly, securely, and efficiently.


Youll be responsible for setting up, maintaining, upgrading, deploying, and automating environments across staging and production systems - with a particular focus on AWS Cloud, Linux (Ubuntu), WordPress-based environments, and CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day AWS Cloud and infrastructure tasks supporting Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams.
  • Manage WordPress website lifecycle activities including file packaging, database cleanup, performance optimization, and site provisioning/deprovisioning processes.
  • Set up and configure SSL certificates and manage secure IP-based site access.
  • Monitor uptime, logs, and alerts to identify, diagnose, and resolve operational and performance issues proactively.
  • Perform system and application upgrades for Linux, PHP, MySQL, WordPress, and Nginx.
  • Create, back up, and restore databases across staging and production environments.
  • Optimize and tune Nginx, caching, and performance parameters.
  • Execute and validate automated scripts for WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates.
  • Conduct post-upgrade functional and compatibility testing to ensure smooth operation.
  • Support and refine deployment workflows for staging and production environments.
  • Set up new environments in line with DevOps standards.
  • Build automation scripts and tools that simplify repetitive tasks and improve deployment reliability.
    
    Required Skills & Experience
    • 2+ years of hands-on experience in AWS Cloud Administration and Operations, and/or DevOps Engineering. Strong hands-on experience with the following AWS services: VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, and Route53.
    • Strong command of Linux (Ubuntu) system administration and Bash scripting.
    • Experience with Nginx, PHP, MySQL, and WordPress hosting environments.
    • Working knowledge of Lets Encrypt, SSL/TLS certificate management, and DNS configuration.
    • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment workflows.
    • Basic understanding of networking, TCP/IP protocol, security groups, and IAM permissions in AWS.
    • Ability to monitor and interpret logs for troubleshooting (e.g., CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Nginx logs), performance optimization, and routine operational tasks.
