Senior SQA Automation Engineer
Job Description:
- Design automated tests to validate applications by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically.
- Determine priority for test scenarios and create execution plans to implement these scenarios.
- Analyze bug reports and highlight problems to help identify fixes for them.
- Install and set up databases and backup applications to prevent errors and protect against data loss.
- Analyze systems to identify potential quality issues that could affect apps.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Monitor debugging process results.
- Have a strong grip on .Net, C#, SQL, JMeter, Selenium web drivers.
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
- Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
- Document test automation processes and procedures clearly.
Candidate Experience:
- Overall 3+ years in SQA with dedicated 2+ years of experience in automation.
- BS or MS in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and technical skills, professional attitude, persuasive communication, strong documentation, business processes acumen, proactive, and meticulous work approach.
- Selenium web driver, Database tester, API tester, Performance tester.
- Experience with popular automation frameworks like Selenium, Appium, Cypress, etc.
- Experience with cloud-based CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
- Additional experience with cloud-based testing solutions.
- Experience mentoring and training junior QA engineers.
- Exposure to testing mobile applications.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with code version tools (e.g., TFS)
