An immediate opening for a Financial Analyst with Budgeting experience.
Specific Enagement Tasks:
- Assist in executive management efforts through advising during internal budget formulation and execution, annual budget certification requirements under 10 U.S.C. Section 142, annual Capability Programming Guidance development and publication, and information technology/cyberspace activities budget formulation.
- Review and analyze current budget plans and historical data to provide recommendations for improvements.
- Develop and implement processes for tracking and managing budget execution.
- Conduct regular financial analyses to assess budget performance and identify variances.
- Ensure all budget activities comply with relevant regulations and internal policies.
- Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders regarding budget status and financial performance.
- Support efforts to ensure agency capabilities align to all agency programmatic and budget guidance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs financial analyses supporting programmatic obligations and meeting execution goals.
- Evaluates project costs and potentially cost- effective alternative ways to accomplish functional objectives.
- Provides cost estimating and financial management support, including all activities that occur during the life cycle of a program.
- Presents financial plans, recommendations, analyses, and other advice within a broad functional area.
- Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
- Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.
- Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
Qualifications
Must be a US Citizen
MUST HAVE A CLEARANCE OF TOP SECRET or higher
- BS Degree in related field and 5 years general experience in Accounting and Financial Analysis. Four (4) years relevant experience may be substituted for Bachelors Degree.
