An immediate opening for a Subject Matter Expert in Operations and Workflow Management to coordinate policy and oversight actions across DoD and with external agencies such as the GAO and the DoD Inspector General. Operations Manager shall have the necessary expertise to effectively manage operations, provide strategic guidance, and ensure efficient coordination of activities.
Specific Enagement Tasks:
- Acting as the primary point of contact for the DCIO (IE) in matters related to policy and oversight coordination.
- Coordinating and overseeing policy development, implementation, and compliance activities within the DCIO (IE)'s office.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency of policies and procedures.
- Managing the flow of information, including reviewing and preparing official correspondence, briefings, and reports.
- Serving as a liaison between the Deputy CIO's office and external agencies, facilitating communication and coordination on policy matters.
- Conducting research and analysis to support policy decision-making and identify best practices.
- Monitoring and tracking policy-related activities, including Congressional inquiries and OIG/GAO requests.
- Assisting in the preparation of materials for senior leadership meetings and presentations.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and directives related to policy and oversight functions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serves as subject matter expert, possessing in-depth knowledge of a particular area, such as business, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or the various sciences.
- Provides extremely high-level subject matter expertise for work described in the task.
- Provides advanced technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environment, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, training, and implementation advice on complex problems which require exceptional knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation.
- Applies principles, methods, and knowledge of specific functional areas of expertise to specific task order requirements.
- Provides advice on esoteric problems which require extensive knowledge of the subject matter.
- Designs and prepares technical reports, studies, and related documentation, makes charts and graphs to record results, prepares and delivers presentations, training, and briefings.
- Recognized for strong expertise in industry issues and trends.
- Utilizes functional area expertise, gained through direct industry experience, to assess the operational and functional baseline of an organization and its organizational components.
- Works with senior managers and executives to provide industry vision and strategic direction regarding their enterprise.
- Guides the determination of inadequacies and/or deficiencies that affect the functional areas ability to support/meet organizational goals.
- Generates functional area strategies for enhanced operations in a cross- functional area throughout the organization.
- Participates in account strategy sessions, strategic assessments, and design reviews to validate enterprise approach and associated work products.
- Performs research and applies expertise and knowledge to technical projects, finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve techniques, procedures, and/or products and technologies.
- Provides research, engineering, technical, and managerial direction for problem definition, analysis, requirement development, and implementation for complex systems in the engineering discipline. Responsibilities include developing, conducting, and evaluating new approaches to meet technical requirements faster and more efficiently.
- Makes recommendations and advises on research development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts.
- Performs risk assessments and innovative use of new research concepts or improved techniques and procedures
- Develops and implements new research objectives, establishes project priorities, defines methods of approach, and executes research studies.
- Provides scientific conclusions and interpretations.
- Responsible for innovative use of scientific research concepts, principles, and practices and contributes to advanced methods and techniques in field of study.
- Has expertise and outstanding knowledge and competence in one or more specific technical focus areas.
Qualifications
Must be a US Citizen
MUST HAVE A CLEARANCE OF TOP SECRET with SCI or higher
- MS Degree in related field and 12 years relevant experience in Operations Management. Two (2) years relevant experience may be substituted for Masters Degree if Bachelors Degree obtained.

Salary: $110,000 - $152,000 annually Depending on Experience
