About the job Sales Development Team Leader
MAIN AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
The primary responsibility of the Sales Development Team Lead is to generate new sales leads for the Sprout sales teams and to oversee the Sales Development Representative. This job requires very strong skills in outbound sales prospecting and prospect qualification using a number of available tools including, but not limited to, phone, email, LinkedIn. This individual acts as the prospect acquisition expert.
TASKS:
Responsible for prospecting, cold calling, emailing, using LinkedIn to identify new prospects
Responsible for qualifying potential prospects as worthy of followup or not
Responsible for identifying sales opportunities via variety of cold prospecting techniques
Must build the sales prospect pipeline using Sprout’s CRM
Has strong attention to detail and able to multi-task /work on multiple and simultaneous projects
Able to work autonomously
Able to work at all levels within a target prospect account, from Manager to C level
Able to manage a team of Sales Development individuals
Perform other duties as assigned by the company
QUALIFICATIONS | COMPETENCIES:
At least 3-5 years of experience in managing a sales development team
Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies
Has the ability to manage and lead a team of young professionals
Proven prospecting/outbound calling track record with SME and large enterprise companies
Able to determine a prospect’s needs and translate those needs into a potential fit for the Sprout SaaS solution
Understands the concept of needs identification
Confident self-starter with the ability to connect technological advantages to business goals
Minimum 3 years experience with outbound sales prospecting
The ability to succeed with limited supervision
A positive, persistent, and professional can-do attitude
Sound business judgment, integrity and commitment to excellence
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent interpersonal skills; Effective communicator, exemplary presentations skills
