Construction Project Manager

We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join our client, a well-established company specializing in construction and building-related projects. This role involves overseeing multiple projects from pre-planning through to handover, ensuring delivery within budget, on time, and to a high standard.

Please note: To be successful in this role, candidates must be fully qualified Quantity Surveyors (MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent) with strong project management expertise.

The Role

  • Manage multiple construction projects on behalf of the client, from initial planning stages to handover.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and design teams, coordinating with stakeholders and consultants.
  • Attend project meetings, presenting proposals and progress updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with planning applications and regulatory approvals.
  • Coordinate project design, specifications, and contract procurement processes.
  • Administer contracts, ensuring compliance with JCT requirements, and provide regular progress reports.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, cost plans, forecasts, variation logs, valuations, and payment certificates.
  • Procure and oversee subcontractor accounts and payments.
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety regulations on-site, in line with CDM requirements.

Key Requirements

  • Full Quantity Surveyor qualifications (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB, MAPM) and a proven track record in project management.
  • Ideally, experience in a client-side or consultancy role.
  • A strong understanding of the development lifecycle, including design, planning, procurement, and construction.
  • Confidence working with numbers, with a sound knowledge of JCT contract forms and administration.
  • Familiarity with construction Health and Safety, CDM, and Building Regulations.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
