Bookkeeper Full-Time or Part-Time

Overview

Our client, a well-established firm, is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team on a full-time or part-time basis. The role will begin with reconciling two years' worth of bank transactions and then transition into ongoing bookkeeping responsibilities, ensuring the companys financial records remain accurate and well-organised. Reporting to the in-house accountant, this is a great opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper looking for a stable, long-term position.

Responsibilities

  • Initial phase: Reconcile two years' worth of bank transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper categorisation.
  • Ongoing duties:
    • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including bank reconciliations and transaction processing.
    • Maintain financial records and ensure all transactions are properly documented.
    • Assist in preparing financial reports and liaising with management on financial matters.
    • Work closely with the in-house accountant to support financial operations.
    • Handle any ad hoc bookkeeping tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Details

Salary: £37,000 £43,000 (pro-rata for part-time).

Job Type: Permanent, full-time or part-time.

Location: On-site Central London

Hours: Flexible for part-time candidates; full-time hours available.
