We are recruiting for an experienced Property Lettings Manager on behalf of our client, a property management company. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and expand their lettings operations, working with both private tenants and council tenants. The role is key to building strong relationships with landlords, tenants, councils, and charity organisations while ensuring compliance and excellent service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Tenant Sourcing and Vetting:

  • Build relationships with councils, charity organisations, and referral agencies to source tenants.
  • Advertise properties online to attract private tenants.
  • Conduct tenant interviews, handle vetting processes, and ensure all documentation is completed.

Financial and Administrative Duties:

  • Assist tenants in setting up Universal Credit (UC) accounts, if required.
  • Manage guaranteed rent schemes and collaborate with landlords to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Develop new contacts with councils and organisations to expand guaranteed rent schemes.
  • Provide landlords with timely updates on lettings, tenant selection, and property status.

Landlord Relations and Team Collaboration:

  • Maintain strong relationships with landlords, offering advice on market trends to maximise returns.
  • Drive portfolio growth by onboarding new landlords and properties.
  • Work closely with colleagues to streamline internal processes.
  • Report on department performance and provide feedback to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in property lettings, particularly with council schemes.
  • Skills: Outgoing personality, strong communication skills (written and verbal), and target-driven.
  • Organisation: Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple properties and client relationships.
  • Administration: Ability to maintain detailed property records effectively.
  • Driving License: Preferred but not essential.

Pay: £32,000 - £38,000 per annum, plus commission.
